A collection of freely available webtools which try to empower creative computing with a tangible approach.
Learn more about the different components in hardware and software that define komputer.space as an interactive experience, and most importantly, access guides and resources to create them yourself!
A detailed look at the entire process of the project with documentation of prototypes and experiments, ideas, concepts and thoughts.
All the code for the komputer.space toolbox is open source under MIT license, and you are welcome to adapt it and create your own version of creative computing.
Take a look at some of the visual output and the creative process of working with the komputer.space approach and tools.
Get the full theoretical perspective and research on the project along with a detailed look at the design process.
I would love to see what you create with these tools. Maybe you even build a tool yourself. Feel free to send an email with your creations to create@komputer.space anytime and maybe it will be showcased on this site soon.
komputer.space
it is a computer; but also an open space; a workspace; eine werkstatt; a tangible approach to computing; ein raumöffner; a notebook; ein kreativwerkzeug; a work in progress;
komputer.space is a bachelor project at Faculty of Design Würzburg by Marinus Paul. That computing should be open and accessable to everyone is a core idea of this project. It was created with the help of a variety of open source software and ressources. Thank you to everyone who supported this journey along the way!
Thank You!
Thanks to Prof. Judith Glaser and Prof. Gertrud Nolte for the continuous support and always inspiring feedback throughout this project.
Thanks to Luis Haitzer for being the always ready coding support for my strange ideas. Thanks to Bjarne Hauschildt for letting me get into the joy of painting, and to Atelier Vignetto for letting me borrow their creative space — both virtually and physically.
Thanks to David, Lea, Luisa, Paula, Anna, Bene and Lucy for the best collaborative workspace ever!
And last but not least, thank you to everyone else who supported me with helpful thoughts and hands during this fully packed but very fun adventure.
